Providing the best 21 Century nutrition solution is all those things. We do this by offering healthy, high-quality ingredients, user-friendly experiences, transparency, and prioritising customer satisfaction. Despite our ambitious vision, we are not naive about the obstacles we face. We encounter challenges daily and make mistakes. About me Letter from the Founder
Welcome!
In an effort to humanise the people making your food at Better Living, let me share a bit about myself. I originate from Hamburg, Germany but grew up across the world. After high school in 2018 I worked in marketing in Sydney, Australia, restored coral reefs and taught English in the Dominican Republic, built houses in Lisbon, Portugal. I crawled caves, learned to shoot and much more during my subsequent travels that I can’t fit here.
From my experiences what turns theory into real impact are organisations, like businesses. So in 2019 I started my bachelor’s in Entrepreneurship at the University of San Francisco. San Francisco was a great place to learn about businesses. In hackathons, personal connections, and consulting internships I saw businesses that change the world, an explosive entrepreneurship finance funnel: From seed funding to IPOs and crazy venture capital bubbles and busts. I learned validated learning business management and much more. I became certain business management is what I excelled at and wanted to do. In 2024 I received my diploma with a GPA of 3.99 (Maximum is 4.0).
Throughout my experiences I observed the relationship with food. Conclusion? ‘Foundational’ activities like sleep, exercise and nutrition effects all parts of our life. Most importantly nutrition affects our ability to reach our goals. This is obvious yet rarely acted on. After university I worked in production kitchens, cafes and delivery companies to better understand how to create and deliver a food product. In 2024 I launched Better Living Hamburg. Really I created this company for myself because I want food that helps achieve my goals, is time efficient, does good things for my body and is actually delicious.
My vision is to create a group of companies that provide a toolbox of products and services that genuinely maximises the quality of customers’ lives. In many sectors current products fall short and this is where I am drawn to most intensely. Nutrition is just the first step.

Rome wasn’t built in a day after all.
- Begin limited operations in Hamburg offering 2 different choices of meals a day, for lunch 3 days a week.
- Expand offering from Monday to Friday and offering 2 different choices of meals a day for breakfast and lunch.
- Invest in a ‘food cargo bike’ to sell on location around Hamburg and shorten delivery times
- Hire a dedicated employee to implement automation in kitchen, delivery and customer service. The theory is that this will increase traceability, improve quality consistency, and lower operational costs and hence final cost to consumer.
- Implement the ‘transparency update’. Webcam feed of our facilities for customers who want to see how their food gets prepared, effective data visuals to communicate nutritional and cost breakdown of meals to customers, as well as offering guided tours of our facility.
- The packaging update. Develop noble material (stainless steel, glass, latex) reusable containers to improve nutritional and taste quality as well as reduce packaging costs.
- Partner with local health insurance firms to offer health insurance discounts to our customers due to decreased medical care costs of our customers.
- Develop B2B (hospitals, offices, etc.)
- Offer Catering for private individuals
- Launch Budget and Premium lines brands
- Partner directly with farms and build automated greenhouses for selected products to improve traceability, ingredient quality and costs.
- Fund our own research lab to explore further the science of food and human health. Help develop better meals for our customers
- Better Living Eating complete! Time to tackle housing, transportation, and education
- You didn’t think it would be that easy, did you. Better Living Eating will have to continue evolving and adapting over the years to match the reality on the ground. However the skeleton of the vision will be realised at this point.
